Industry Standard Variations
Printing is a manufacturing process with inherent variations:
- Color matching: Within +/- 10% of submitted files
- Cutting tolerance: Within +/- 1/8 inch
- Quantity tolerance: Within +/- 5% of ordered quantity
- Paper variations: Natural variations in texture and color
These variations are industry standard and do not qualify for reprints or refunds.
Color Accuracy and Reproduction
Color Matching Limitations
We strive for accurate color reproduction, but several factors affect final results:
Technical Limitations:
- Different color modes (RGB vs. CMYK) produce different results
- Monitor displays don’t accurately represent printed colors
- Paper type and finish affect color appearance
- Printing process variations are normal and expected
Our Commitment:
- We use calibrated color management systems
- Hard copy proofs provide the most accurate color preview
- We’ll work with you to achieve the best possible results
- Color variations within industry standards are normal
Color Critical Projects
For projects where exact color matching is essential:
- Request a hard copy proof (additional fee applies)
- Understand that variations may still occur
- Consider spot color printing for brand-critical colors
- Discuss your needs with our customer service team
